Scattering and inverse scattering for the AKNS system: A rational function approach

چکیده
We consider the use of rational basis functions to compute scattering and inverse transforms associated with AKNS (Ablowitz–Kaup–Newell–Segur) system. The proposed numerical forward transform computes solution system that is valid on entire real axis thereby a reflection coefficient at point by solving single linear makes novel improvement in function approach oscillatory Cauchy operator, enabling efficient certain Riemann–Hilbert problems without contour deformations. latter development enables access high-precision computations this demonstrated for one-dimensional Schrödinger operator potential.

Inverse scattering problem for the Impulsive Schrodinger equation with a polynomial spectral dependence in the potential
In the present work, under some di¤erentiability conditions on the potential functions , we rst reduce the inverse scattering problem (ISP) for the polynomial pencil of the Scroedinger equation to the corresponding ISP for the generalized matrix Scrödinger equation . Then ISP will be solved in analogy of the Marchenko method. We aim to establish an e¤ective algorithm for uniquely reconstructin...
متن کاملThe Time - Dependent Approach to Inverse Scattering ∗
In these lectures I give an introduction to the time-dependent approach to inverse scattering, that has been developed recently. The aim of this approach is to solve various inverse scattering problems with time-dependent methods that closely follow the physical (and geometrical) intuition of the scattering phenomena. This method has been applied to many linear and nonlinear scattering problems...
متن کاملScattering : Scattering and Inverse Scattering in Pure and Applied
This series of two volumes brings the concept of scattering in widely different fields – all the way from Nuclear Physics, Atmospheric Sciences to Chemical Physics – into a unified framework. Most of the topics were classified according to the physical scales of the scattering process. This two volume series easily qualifies as the encyclopedia of scattering. There are six parts in this two vol...
متن کاملInverse Scattering
This paper investigates the ability to determine the boundary of an unknown object scattering waves using three different scenarios. In the first, we assume all far-field data is known from the scattering of a single incident wave. In the second, we assume that there are several nodes that emit waves and receive information back about the scattered wave. In the third, there is only one node whi...
